Praveen Kumar Tangella, a seasoned security leader having a decade of experience in healthcare compliance & Information Security with elite certifications in the industry like HITRUST Certified CSF practitioner, CRISC, CISM, Certified HIPAA professional (CHP), ITIL, Lead auditor in ISO 27001 and 9001. Praveen has implemented and led security programs for major Healthcare organizations in the roles of Information Security Officer and Compliance Officer.
He has worked with few of the best US healthcare organizations like Prime Healthcare, Atos Healthcare division, HCL Healthcare division. He has also helped Etisalat, ATP in complying with privacy and security requirements of HIPAA.
He is a board member and Program director for ISACA Hyderabad chapter, and is also associated with BSI as an independent auditor for Information Security Management System.
While he started working as an IT engineer, his interest and passion towards information security and compliance drove him to this path. He has trained numerous IT professionals on HIPAA, HITRUST, IT Security and helped organizations evolve in the areas of healthcare privacy and security.
Along with his seasoned security career, Praveen also runs an NGO as a social responsibility.
